Children's Ministry Opportunities

Sunday

Noah's Ark: 8:45AM   Noah's Ark is for early arrivers for Sunday School,  Activities such as:               movies, coloring, crafts and games are experienced by the children. 

Sunday School 9:00AM  We have a Sunday School Class for all children.  Our Sunday School classes all use the Southern Baptist Sunday School Literature.

Children's Church:  We have two children's church.  Children's church 1 is for children ages 4 & 5 they learn about the Bible stories and have activities that compliment the story.  Children's Church 2 is for children in the 1st grade - 3rd grade. We are teaching a course of study that will take the children through the Bible from beginning to end.  The lessons are all inclusive with story, crafts and activities that match. 

Children's Choirs:  6:00PM  Each Sunday night our children gather for choir we currently have 2 choirs. The Praise Kids grades 1 - 6 and the King's Kids 4 & 5 year old.  The children's choirs help out throughout the year by singing in the service at special times and do 2 major performances a year at Christmas and during the spring time.

 

Wednesday Nights

Explorers: 6:30PM:  This group is for the 4 & 5 year olds.  They explore the bible stories and do related activities.

GAs (Girls in Action):  We have 2 GA groups GAs1 is for girl 1 & 2 grade, and GAs2 for girls 3-6th grade.  The girls study and do missions such as food drives, praying for missions, Samaritan's Purse, and collecting items for children in need.

RAs (Royal Ambassadors):  This group is for boys in the 1st gr through the 6thgr. It is a newly started group and will teach the boys scripture, missions, and how to grow in a Christian life style.  They will participate in local missions and enjoy times of activities designed to strengthen the mind and body.

 

Nurseries:

Our nursery facilities have been recently remodeled and allow for the children to be separated by age.  The rooms have age appropriate toys and fixtures.  We have nurseries for all ages during all services and Sanctuary Choir rehearsals.
 

VBS

(Vacation Bible School):  Each year in early June we have Vacation Bible School for children 4 years though the 6th grade.  Our teaching theme changes each year with lessons, decoration, snacks and activities to match. 

 

Summer Adventure Days

This summer we will be expanding our summer adventure days from once a month to once a week.  These times will be developed to provide a time of learning and fun through meetings and special day trips.
 

Summer Camps

This year we will be offering several summer camps for your child to enjoy.

GAs will be able to choose from: The mother/daughter weekend & 5 day GA camp dates will announced later. These camps will take place at Camp Lavita

Children's Music Camp new for this year.  This camp will be open for interested children in enjoying learning about music with other children throughout the state and will be held at White Oak, the South Carolina Baptist Conference center. Dates Announced Later.

RAs:  new for this year the boys of the church will be able to experience Camp McCall.  during this camp the boys will learn about the Bible, have fun activities, and meet others from around the state.  Dates will announced later.

Security

A note on security.  We take every action necessary to ensure that our children have a safe and fun place to learn.  All of our teachers have had back ground checks and can be identified by name tags.  Children's wing security measures are in place during all times the building is in use.
